Amexton is the professional body controlling the affairs of the entire Medical X-ray technicians of Nigeria, it is responsible for uniting it's members and registering them accordingly, struggle for the right of its registered members, also organizing seminars and workshop for its members, design and organizing the continued education program, issuance of professional certificate to it's members, maintaining standard and controlling the medical X-ray technician program across the Country, monitor and review the medical x-ray technician training curriculum, schools inspection and accreditation of medical x-ray technician training institutions, conducting Qualified National exams to our members. Association of Medical X-ray Technicians of Nigeria (AMEXTON) is the only registered organization that unites and controls the activities of all X-ray Technicians in Nigerian, with the CAC registration number 25856. The Association is recognized and has a strong working with the National Board of Technical Education in relation to training of x-ray technician cadre in schools and colleges of Health Technology in the country. Due to lack of regulatory body that is saddle with the responsibility of regulating the activities of x-ray Technicians (Academic and Professional), the Association engages into similar activities to bring sanity into the profession by reducing quackery and rampant, uncontrolled training of such professionals in the country. The Federal Ministry of Health, agencies and extra ministerial bodies and most of the States ministries of Health and agencies has recognized the Association and are accepting membership certificate of the Association for the purpose of employment or promotion.
